45 Coolidge Point, Designed by Michael Graves
One of the most unique homes on the North Shore of Boston, world-renowned architect, Michael Graves originally built this stunning 1996 contemporary on Coolidge Point in Manchester-by-the-Sea for himself. Perched high over Magnolia Harbor with sweeping views to the Atlantic Ocean, there are private pathway and stairs lead down to the quiet end of Kettle Cove with a beach beneath the rocky coastline. The compound, which also includes a 3-bedroom guest house, a caretakers house, gardens and a barn, is on 12.9 acres of oceanfront property that abuts conservation land with walking paths around a pond out to the great lawn.
As Bill says, "I was all over this place". His work included repairing the round cross-hatched bedroom windows, which had been damaged in a storm.
Matching Michael Graves’ precisely-chosen paint colors was a challenge that Bill easily met!
Bill refurbished the solid maple kitchen tabletop. It had been marred, scarred and stained. Bill brought it back to it’s original state.
